IRAN
- Iran’s central military command, Khatam al-Anbiya, said it has received information that the United States, backed by some regional states, is preparing to resume strikes on Iran. It warned that any attack would trigger sustained strikes on US bases and interests in the region, and that states allowing their territory to be used would be treated as parties to the conflict. The statement was issued late on 20 September and carried by state media on the 21st.
- Army commander Major General Amir Hatami said Iranian forces are ready to face any renewed US or Israeli attack. The IRGC threatened to strike new targets if US attacks resume.
YEMEN
- Government forces said they struck Houthi fighters and supply lines near Bab al-Mandeb and in al-Bayda governorate south of Sanaa.
UKRAINE–RUSSIA
- Russian overnight strikes hit civilian infrastructure in ten regions: Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad and Rivne, per the Ukrainian government.
- A drone attack on Lozova in Kharkiv region killed one and injured three, damaging homes and railway infrastructure. Five were injured in Zaporizhzhia.
- A Russian drone strike near an apartment building in Sumy killed a woman and injured her husband.
