YEMEN / SAUDI ARABIA

  • Houthi forces fired ballistic and cruise missiles and drones at Riyadh and at Aramco facilities in Yanbu. A fuel tank at an Aramco depot near King Khalid International Airport burned; FlightRadar24 logged the airport at maximum disruption with cancellations and delays.
  • The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted a ballistic missile over Riyadh at dawn and thwarted attacks on Bisha, Taif, Farasan and Yanbu. First Houthi strikes to reach the capital since the civil war resumed.
  • Fighting in southern Yemen killed 48 in 24 hours: 17 government troops and 31 Houthi fighters, per military sources on both sides.
  • Bab al-Mandab traffic fell to 26–35 vessels a day from a prior eight-week average of 35–40, per Kpler.

IRAN / HORMUZ

  • CENTCOM said it has escorted 1bn barrels of crude and over 2,000 commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz in the past two months, with volumes over the last fortnight the highest in six months.
  • US officials said Iranian forces downed at least two American MQ-1 unmanned aircraft in recent days.
  • Iran executed a man convicted of passing information on missile sites in Isfahan province to Israeli intelligence.

LEBANON

  • An Israeli engineering vehicle struck an explosive charge in southern Lebanon, lightly wounding two soldiers. Israel followed with widespread strikes on Hezbollah positions and observation posts across the south.

UKRAINE–RUSSIA

  • Russia launched two Zircon anti-ship missiles and 174 drones and loitering munitions overnight.
  • Ukrainian forces conducted extensive strikes inside Russia. ISW assessed the Russian Defence Ministry is overstating frontline advances and disputing Ukrainian gains in the Lyman direction against geolocated evidence.

SUDAN

  • RSF drone strikes on El Obeid continue as the encirclement holds; neither side has broken the deadlock around the city.
